FAQ (frequently asked questions)

1. What is the situation with food, water filling, the preservation of valuables, the local population, and the police?

  • In Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania and other Balkan countries there are a lot of grocery stores where you can buy products. In Montenegro, starting from autumn 2019, new rules for the operation of grocery stores have been introduced. Namely, on Sunday all shops are closed, and if you arrive in Montenegro on Sunday, we advise you to take care of yourself in advance and take a minimum set of food with you or go to eat in a cafe or restaurant upon arrival, and you can also buy a minimum set of food items in gas stations.
  • Cash currency – Croatia (kuna), Bosnia and Herzegovina (mark), Montenegro (euro), Albania (leka), Serbia (dinar).
  • Almost all gas stations have the opportunity to replenish water it is free. Used water is usually drained by the side of the road, and the toilet cassette can be emptied in the toilet at gas stations.
  • All motorhomes have an iron safe for valuables.
  • The police rarely stop the motorhomes for no reason, and if they did, then be polite and reciprocate.
  • Remember to always drive with your headlights on.

2. What are the conditions for driving a motorhome? Your driving experience must be at least 4 years. If you have a driving experience of less than 4 years, then you must inform us about this in advance and then the security deposit may be increased. To drive our campers, an international driving license category “B” is suitable

3. Can I rent a motorhome with child seats? If you want to rent a caravan with a child seat, you need to inform the age and weight of the child in advance. Option paid separately. Look HERE.

4. What must be done to reserve a motorhome?

To reserve a motorhome, the renter must select the motorhome model, agree on the rental period, and agree on the place and time of handover.

To confirm the reservation, the renter must pay an advance payment equal to at least 10% of the total rental price, with a minimum amount of EUR 100.

The advance payment confirms the reservation and guarantees the renter’s performance of the agreed booking obligations. Once the advance payment has been received, the motorhome is reserved exclusively for the renter for the entire agreed rental period and is not offered to other customers.

Advance Payment Refund Policy

* If the rental is cancelled 3 months or more before the rental start date, the advance payment will be refunded in full.
* If the rental is cancelled less than 3 months, but at least 2 months before the rental start date, 50% of the advance payment will be refunded.
* If the rental is cancelled less than 2 months before the rental start date, the advance payment is non-refundable.

Any reduction of the previously agreed rental period is considered a partial cancellation of the booking.

Any change to the rental period is permitted only with the owner’s prior written approval.

High Season Conditions

During the period from 15 June to 15 September, the minimum rental period for a motorhome is 7 days. During this period, demand is exceptionally high, most bookings are made well in advance, and the rental schedule is planned ahead of time.

If, during the rental period, the renter decides for any reason to shorten the previously agreed rental period, the rental charge will be calculated based on the actual number of rental days, but not less than 7 days.

The renter may continue using the motorhome for all seven paid days, as it remains exclusively reserved for the renter during that period. The renter may also return the motorhome earlier; however, an early return does not entitle the renter to any reduction in the rental price or refund for unused days.

If the previously agreed rental period is shortened, the amount of the previously paid advance payment shall be added to the rental charge. The advance payment shall not be credited toward the rental price and shall not be refunded, as it serves as compensation for the owner’s losses resulting from the change to the agreed rental period and the inability to offer the released dates to other customers.

5. Do I have to give you a deposit when I get a motorhome? Yes, upon receipt of the motorhome, a security deposit of EUR 200 is required. The deposit is refunded when the car is returned, if there is no new damage to the car and the interior, all equipment is in place and the fuel tank is full. If you paid the advance using the PayPal money transfer system, then at the end of the lease, we return this amount to your PayPal account and return the remaining money from the deposit amount in cash.

6. Will I be able to travel to other European countries with my rental car? Yes, you can travel to other European countries, but you must provide us with your passport details and driver’s license, and the deposit will be 300 euros instead of 200 euros. We need to prepare documents for you to cross the border in advance.

7. What to do in the event of a technical malfunction or in an accident? If you have any problems, be sure to contact us. In the event of an accident, it is necessary to report the incident to the police, take the necessary documents and contact details from the second participant in the accident, fix the damage in the police protocol, pass an alcohol test and obtain a protocol of the decision from the local court. Copies of all documents must be kept.
If the accident was not your fault, then this must be confirmed by a separate document issued by the local court. Until the moment when the court has not made a final decision, whose fault in the incident is proven, the deposit is withheld and not returned.
If you are to blame for what happened, and the damage is insignificant, it makes sense to settle everything on the spot.
See this page. Here you will find an interesting experience of a traffic accident in Montenegro and what to do in different cases.

This insurance provides for the removal of liability to third parties that is, the insurance covers the cost of repairing another car that you damaged. Due to the fact that the motorhome has large external dimensions and in order to avoid damage to the motorhome, it is strictly forbidden to move along the old roads. If you want to go to a certain place and there the path goes along the old road, you must agree with us on the route, otherwise all responsibility for damage to the motorhome rests entirely on your responsibility. To avoid trouble at the border, take care of your documents in advance and get permission from us to travel to other countries.

17. Attention! We strictly forbid driving off-road and mountain roads! If you dare to go off-road, then the deposit is non-refundable and you completely take all the risks with this trip. When driving off-road on mountain serpentines, we do not provide technical support. Watch a video example of how dangerous it can be: https://youtu.be/kRMUTT3vPCE
